Arthroscopy
NITOR
Arthroscopy is being regularly performed at NITOR. Pink – I unit regularly admits patients requiring arthroscopy examination and treatment from OPD on Wednesday. They perform the arthroscopic procedure on Monday OT. Others units also perform arthroscopic procedure as per their own schedule.
The deferent procedures being regularly perform include arthroscopic menisectomy and ACL reconstruction both by BTB and ST technique. Other procedures include loose body removal and synovial biopsy. Rarely PCL reconstruction has also been performed.
Limitations include meniscal repair due to lack of instruments. Arthroscopic procedures of other joints are yet not being performed.
